Romsey Baptist Church seeks to act responsibly regarding the current situation and will aim to follow the government’s advice. In light of the recent advice:
All Sunday services are cancelled until further notice.
All other church events/organisations are also cancelled until further notice. These include, but are not limited to the bereavement workshop, the walk for Parkinsons, house groups, Thursday Fellowship, the Lent Lunches, all youth activities and the Community Cafe.
A decision about the church cycle ride (which may still take place but not on the Isle of Wight) will be taken later.
Currently we are not taking bookings for the use of our premises by other users.
We are looking at ways of sharing worship and teaching while we cannot meet together and also ensuring that pastoral needs are addressed. Last Sunday we held our first virtual service (see above) and are looking at refining these.
Recordings of most Sunday morning sermons up to and including Sunday 15th March are available on our sermon page.
We will, of course, continue to pray for guidance for the government and to pray for those affected by the virus, both directly and indirectly.
The church's response to the virus is under constant review and updates will be posted here.
Romsey Baptist Church (RBC) is a family friendly church with a strong youth focus but also having a wide age demographic. The preaching is Bible based and our worship style is largely contemporary. We see our purpose as worshipping God the Father, Son and Spirit; spreading the word of Jesus at home and further afield; growing our faith through discipleship and building a loving community through fellowship.
